Elmo Coin Rap

This coin rap is definitely stuck in my head after singing along with students today. Feel free to have them practice it at home, in the car, wherever you may be. Counting coins is a life long skill they will need to master. Let’s make it fun with a little rapping!

Doubles Rap… Kid Style

I found the doubles rap we’ve been practicing in class, but this version has students singing it! My 2nd graders are loving it and asked that I share this version with you all so they could sing along at home.

Week 36

TUESDAY- PLANETARIUM FIELD TRIP

This is a reminder that 2nd grade will be taking a field trip to the Planetarium in Tyler on Tuesday, May 14.  We will leave school at 8:30 and enjoy the Planetarium from 9:30-11:30. Due to the limited space in the Planetarium and the City of Tyler fire code, parents will not be admitted to the Planetarium. You are welcome to meet us at Bergfeld Park for lunch. We expect to arrive between 11:45-12:00.

All students will need to bring a drink with a closable lid as well. Dress your child appropriately for the weather and the park. You are free to sign your student out on my clipboard after our park lunch. We cannot wait!

WEDNESDAY- PARK FIELD TRIP

This is a reminder that 2nd grade will be taking a field trip to the park on Wednesday, May 15. The buses will leave at 8:30, and we will be gone most of the day. Parents are welcome to meet us at the park. If raining, we will have a “fun day” at an alternate location, but due to limited space parents will not be invited to join. I will send a Seesaw message out when the alternate location has been decided on.

All students will need to bring a drink with a closable lid as well. Dress your child appropriately for the weather and the park. You are free to sign your student out on my clipboard at the end of the park visit. This is going to be such a fun day!
