Root Beer Float Party for Science

I ran across these pictures from earlier in the school year and they were too cute not to share. The week we explored matter in science we had a little Root Beer Float party. Can you spot the solid, liquid, and gas in the photos? What a yummy way to learn about the world around us!

Limeades for Learning Prizes

We did it! Well, you and your families did. We collected enough Limeades for Learning Sonic codes to win an iPad and 6 Wobble Chairs for our classroom. This stuff was FREE!!! Thank you to all who supported our classroom by bringing Sonic codes. If you happen to still have a few, feel free to send them. They don’t expire and I’d love to use them for next year.) Check out our students opening and using these items!

Off to the Races… Graphing Style!

Last week we were off to the races with graphing. We made hats to predict which race car we thought would win the race. We then used data to conduct a race, make a pictograph, and a bar graph. We were able to answer questions based on the given data. Check out your student’s group post on Seesaw to see more of the fun!

Bowling Fun turned into a Graphing Lesson

We began graphing skills last week, and I must say it was one of the most fun weeks we’ve had! Hearing 15 kids yell “strike!” all at once brought a huge grin to my face.  Not only did  we acquire new math skills, but some of you have some pretty solid bowlers! I was impressed.

We took our bowling data and turned it into a pictograph, followed by a bar graph. From there we were able to interpret the data and answer questions based on how well our group bowled.
