We are integrating reading, writing and social studies this week which equals lots of fun during our morning block! We read a short paragraph about American hero, Amelia Earhart. From the passage we were able to identify the main idea as a whole group. Then we broke into partners and had to identify 3 or more supporting details. Brain Pop Jr. was able to provide additional facts about Earhart. Students were able to take what they learned and then write a mini report. We are working on turning our reports into a Chatter Pix presentation. Stay turned for those! They are always a hoot.
